We had a fantastic time and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The zookeeper experience was as lovely as previously, but this time we interacted with some different animals. The lousy weather meant the Bird of Prey experience was in the classroom, but because the other people due to do it had rescheduled due to the weather it was only us two and we felt like we were getting a personal experience!! Not that everyone doesn't already get made to feel like a VIP when they undertake an experience here! Again the committment of the staff to the welfare of the animals was patently obvious. Will keep spreading the word about Gentleshaw - and the zookeeper experiences are great value! We had a fantastic time we loved meeting the animals especially the friendly meerkats. Although the center is small there are quite a few animals and they are all well cared for with lovely enclosures, the staff are all very dedicated and very friendly. We had the best time ever . I loved seeing all of the animals . My favourite animal was the monkeys and the perguine falcon . The staff were lovely and answered all my questions . We also had a lovely cake and drink in the tea rooms . The gift shop is great too so was the train ride . I can't wait to visit again . Everyone's devotion to the welfare of the animals was patently obvious. Lovely place, highly recommend a visit - it won't break the bank, will help the centre, and you'll get to see some lovely critters! We are however only responsible for the wildlife centre, all other facilities are maintained and supplied by the garden centre and are not connected to our little wildlife centre. There are 3 ladies toilets within the garden centre. We will pass on tour comments to the garden centre management and to the staff at the tearoom. Thanks again and come see UA again . 38 July 28, 2014 - 08:33 PM sandra lightfoot   Brought my two grandchildren. We all had a great time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It's not a large place, but everywhere is clean and the animal enclosures are a good size. The café was spotless and the lady who served us was lovely. A good playsite for the children also, plus gift shop and of course, it's joined to Fletcher's Garden Centre. Could only find one ladies' toilet on site and this could do with sprucing up. Possibly not enough on offer to spend a whole day there, but well worth a visit. 39 July 28, 2014 - 05:58 PM anne robinson   Had an awesome time at Gentleshaw zoo experience. loved every minute.
