What a lovely place plenty too see birds animals of kinds I’ve never seen before . The Staff are so friendly and helpful and must say they do a magnificent job . I recommend this place to all people of all ages and family sizes a animal lovers delight , go on treat yourselves you won’t be disappointed . 3 July 25, 2018 - 04:38 PM Graham   Visited here today for the first time and pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely place on the doorstep. At first, expectations are low, having to walk through a Garden centre to find it. Once outside combination of the outdoor space, miniature train, crazy golf, play areas and the wildlife park is fantastic. I visited with my young daughter and under 3s are free which meant only having to pay for myself. Really good variety for animals, great touch being able to read into the past of each of the animals and how the charity helped them back to full fitness. We stayed for about 2 hours both in the wildlife park and the train ride. Stew & Tracey, Manchester 9 August 03, 2017 - 04:52 PM Gwen Souter   What an interesting afternoon we spent with our granddaughter Alex at your brilliant rescue centre with the dedicated staff caring for wildlife in need of a home. We watched as several birds of prey had some training flights, entertaining, as some refused to fly (after a short while) ie. Bomber an American Kestrel. Wolfdog Saxon needs a mention too, a gentle giant he seemed quite laid back, there's lots more to see so well worth an afternoon visit 10 April 18, 2017 - 07:11 PM Hayley Purcell   We loved our visit to the Gentleshaw Wildlife centre. We would like to thank all the staff involved for such a fantastic two hours. Both my children loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved it !! The staff are so friendly and informative about the animals. We met skunks, meerkats, a giant tortoise, a wolf and bird of prey feeding experience, which was amazing, watching them fly onto my hand for food. 14 June 16, 2016 - 10:18 PM Helen   Brought my class on their school trip today and we all had a fabulous time. My favourite part was getting to meet the gorgeous meerkats Basil and Sybil. My youngest daughter took part in the zoo keeper experience which she loved. The staff were incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic about their 'care'. How we managed to walk away without a marmoset in a pocket I'm not sure - my son was transfixed by them and I'm sure my eldest would have loved to rehome Saxon. Great work - we'll be back again. I want to say a big thankyou to all the staff for making our zoo keeper experience so enjoyable. The love and care given to the animals is enormous. Their care and love for the animals and birds of prey is evident in all they do. 20 June 01, 2015 - 04:20 PM Sue Wheatley   Myself and my 18 year old niece did a zookeepers experience on Sunday 31st May. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The keepers all care about the welfare of the animals and are passionate about what they do.
